Physiotherapist - Practice Owner
Basil Adriaanse obtained his honours in physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape in 2009. He went on to complete his community service in Kuruman hospital in the Northern Cape. He returned to Cape Town in 2011, where he noticed a need for mobile physiotherapy and sought to fulfill that. Later that year he founded Basil Adriaanse Physiotherapy and has grown the practice to four sites across the Western Cape. His professional development has lead him to attain a APPI level 2 accreditation in critical care management, as well as various diplomas in the management of orthopedic and sports injuries.
Gerda Miller (neé Walters) qualified with a B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) from the University of Stellenbosch in 1987. I am qualified manipulative therapist (OMT) (University of Stellenbosch 1993) and a qualified pilates instructor (essential, intermediate and advanced) Stott Pilates (2001).
By attending numerous courses and lectures over the years, she has further developed this principle in her core interests of orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation and chronic pain issues. This has evolved in a multi-faceted approach to movement therapy as treatment modality, mindfulness and lifestyle changes as rehabilitation tools.

Physiotherapist - Parow Clinical manager
Kieron completed his physiotherapy degree with honours at the University of the Western Cape in 2012. Since then he has worked at multiple private practices around cape Town and has developed a special interest in post operative rehabilitation, pediatrics, musculoskeletal conditions and critical care management of patients. He believes that one of the most important factors in recovery is the combined team work of the physiotherapist and client and that combined goal setting and a commitment to follow through on those goals is the only way to achieve real results and see a difference made.
Physiotherapist - Blouberg Clinical manager
Angela completed her community service in the rural KwaZulu-Natal in 2015. Since then she returned to Cape Town and worked at a private practice under the mentorship of one of the most recognised physiotherapists in the country. She worked primarily in an outpatient setting seeing clients who suffer from sports injuries, neurological conditions like stroke as well as orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions that require rehabilitation.
She also worked part time in a major tertiary hospital which included a caseload of intensive care, medical and surgical patients.
She is very family orientated, hence on my off days, I enjoy spending times with them.
She strongly believes in the saying that “‘Every challenge is an opportunity for you to become stronger”, which is why she does not back down from them.
Paarl Clinical Manager and Physiotherapist
Kim completed her B.Sc (hons) in physiotherapy in 2011 at the UWC and her community service in 2013 at Katleho District Hospital in Virginia, Free State. In 2014 I started working at Smit, Thorius and Odendaal Inc. Occupational and Physiotherapists in Welkom, Free State and worked there for 5 years and 8 months.
She has experience in managing short-term and long-term rehabilitation in a wide variety of fields of medicine including orthopaedics, cardio-pulmonary, neuro-muscular-skeletal and neurology cases. She believes that only by partnering with your patient can you reach a state of optimal recovery. My patients help me do what I love, and I help them to become optimally functional in order to return to work, play and life.
Her hobbies include reading, singing, and spend time with those close to me.

Bellville Clinical Manager
Lauren graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2017 and has worked in Private practice since then. She has qualified with a diploma in Orthopedic Manipulative Techniques in 2019 and is a well trained and skilled therapist.
Hobbies: She has served South Africa earning her notional colours in figure skating and now serves as a coach and judge at national competitions.
Motto:" I always strive to be professional, punctual and persistent. In the work environment I believe that good communication skills are necessary, as it allows for harmony between patient and therapist .I believe that the quality of patient care comes first in any situation.
Panorama Clinical Manager
Nika qualified as a physiotherapist from the University fo Cape Town. She completed her community service and afterward developed a keen interest in the management of chronic pain. She is a young, bright and talented physiotherapist who is looking to add to the body of scientific knowledge on this very under researched and broad condition.
Hobbies: She enjoys travel and is a gifted photographer.

Enthusiasm is central to my work ethic and is something I will always bring to the table. I push for a positive outcome, because my belief is that a patient responds better towards treatment in a supportive environment."
Physiotherapist - Paarl
Simone' completed her studies at the University of Pretoria and has worked in Private practice since then. She is trained in clinical pilates and has an enormous passion for rehabilitation. She is a smart and progressive thinking physiotherapist who makes her patients feel seen and heard.

I am passionate about people, and I always tend to the well-being of others before my own. I am an optimistic realist, which gives me a dynamic edge in my work; no situation is irredeemable."
Physiotherapist - Melkbosstrand
Suzanne qualified from the European school of physiotherapy in 2011 and studied further at the University of the Western Cape.
She gained special interest in management of chronic pain, stress, burnout and has become more aware of the need to balance our physical, mental and emotional well being. This is where her interest in Mindfulness and conscious movement started. These are some of the skills she utilizes within her rehabilitation approach.
She has completed various Pilates mat work courses through APPI (Australian Physio and Pilates Association) and enjoys teaching group rehabilitation classes, as well as 1 on 1 sessions.

Physiotherapist - Melkbosstrand
Benard completed his studies in 2016 through the University of Stellenbosch.
His interests lie very much with orthopaedic conditions and post-operative rehab. He also has a love for sports and work together with Melkbosstrand High School to improve my skills in that area.
"I work to treat my patient holistically and return them to their previous level of functionality as soon as possible, which I see as the biggest reward and also why I chose this profession. I also strive to empower my patients to have an active part in their recovery as well."
Danielle currently fulfills the position of practice manager at Adriaanse and Associates. She has been with the practice since 2016 and has worked her way up from front office manager, to claims administrator, and having shown exceptional aptitude for leadership, administration and organization, was handed the reins as practice manager and has done an incomparable job to date. She currently oversees all day to day operations of the practice and human resources.
Front office and marketing manager
She started her career in the early 90’s as a receptionist at a dental practice, that is when I discovered my passion for working with people. After a couple of years, I was given the opportunity to work as a front office manager at a 5-star hotel in Tamboerskloof. Although it was a phenomenal experience, I always knew that I wanted to work in the medical industry.
My hobbies include scrapbooking, taking long walks and spending time with family she has been married for 26 years and has two children. She is loyal, hardworking and will always walk the extra mile for friends, family and colleagues.
A motto I live by: “if you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain.’’ I also believe you are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.
Billings and authorisations manager
After matriculating she started out as an intern in home base care/nursing, thereafter she worked for 8 years at a private Physiotherapy and Psychology practice as a Receptionist/Administrator. Based on years’ experience in the medical field she has gained a lot of insight and practical skills into dealing with medical funders from traditional medical aids to road accident fund as well as the claims involving injury on duty.
Colleen currently occupies the role of Billings and authorisations manager at the practice and manages all matters regrading to medical claims. A very specified role that requires diligence and sensitivity, characteristics that Colleen has in spades.
She is a fun loving person who enjoys spending time with loved ones, hiking, watching movies and series binging.
She lives by the motto that hard work always pays off. “I believe that what you put in is what you’ll get out.”
Judy joined the team in 2019 and is part of the reception staff at the Anodyne Pain Clinic. She is an open, friendly and loving soul who gives her all for the patients she assists in caring for. She has over 25 years’ experience in administration and is very knowledgeable on the administration regarding medical aid and procedures. She is committed to quality service and you can rest assured that she will make you feel welcome from the moment you step into our Panorama rooms.
